How to Apply

Apply process is very easy and simple, just follow the instructions. Eligible candidates should apply online through the National Jobs Portal at https://njp.gov.pk. If you’re applying for multiple posts, submit separate applications for each one. At this stage no manual or hard copy applications will be accepted.

Guidelines for FBR Jobs

Positions in BS-01 to BS-05 are typically filled locally under Rule 16 of the Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion & Transfer) Rules, 1973. Positions in BS-06 to BS-15 are filled by individuals domiciled in their respective province/region/district, following Rule 15 of the same rules and instructions from the Establishment Division.

At the interview, candidates must bring original documents (Educational, Domicile, and Experience Certificates, etc.) and one set of attested copies of all documents. Screening/skill tests will be conducted as per the Federal Government’s Recruitment Policy.

For the post of Sepoy, physical standards (height and chest measurements, along with other tests like running, pushups, chin-ups, etc.) will be assessed. Female candidates will also undergo these tests. Male candidates must run one kilometer in 7 minutes, while female candidates must run it in 10 minutes.

The government mandates quotas of 10% for women, 5% for minorities (non-Muslims), and 2% for disabled persons. Disabled candidates must provide a Disability Certificate from the Medical Assessment Board under the Ministry of Human Rights (Council on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities), Islamabad, at the interview.

Customs field formations may adjust the number of vacancies based on circumstances at the time of final selection. Candidates employed in Public Sector Departments/Organizations must submit Departmental Permission Certificates from their employers at the interview. Without this, they cannot participate in the interview.

In addition to the general upper age limit relaxation of 5 years, further relaxations apply to specific categories:

Candidates from Sindh (R) and Balochistan for posts in BPS-15 and below.
Released or retired officers/personnel of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
Government servants with 2 years of continuous service.
Disabled persons for posts in BPS 15 and below.
Widow, son, or daughter of a deceased civil servant who died during service.
Candidates from Scheduled Castes, Buddhist communities, recognized tribes of Tribal Areas, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Minimum and maximum ages are calculated based on the closing date for application receipt. Information provided in the online application form will be verified. If false information is found, the Customs field formations/FBR can cancel the candidate’s application and take legal action.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the test/interview. All candidates are provisionally allowed to appear in the test/interview, pending detailed scrutiny of their eligibility. No TA/DA will be provided for the test/interview.

Candidates must apply online by the specified closing date. Late applications will not be entertained.
